A graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts, Dalton dedicated much of his college career to Blues Alley Studios, where he worked on projects such as the Go 1st House Band, Grace Campbell’s Bloom (a charting debut release at #32), Sofia DeRiggi’s Exposed, and numerous others. His work as a producer and engineer reflects the same dedication and creativity that fuel his guitar playing and song writing.

Dalton’s influences range from Jimmy Page’s raw power to Paul McCartney’s melodic genius, from John Lennon’s fearless songwriting to Jeff Lynne and Glyn Johns’ studio brilliance. These inspirations form the backbone of a style that is at once classic and forward-looking, personal and collaborative.

With new projects in the works, Dalton Matheny is steadily building a career that bridges his passion for performance and production, keeping his music as dynamic as the artists who inspire him.
